Our History
“First, we made just a little wine for our friends, now we offer them to everyone. And our commitment remains the same: to produce extraordinary wines for all to enjoy.”
– Stan Teaderman, Founder, Teaderman Vineyards

1978 – A Vineyard Takes Root
In 1978, Stan Teaderman and his wife, Patty, purchased a 14-acre property in the heart of Oakville, Napa Valley. The land was already planted to Sauvignon Blanc, which was sold to Robert Mondavi Winery for its famed Fumé Blanc. Stan continued to supply top-quality fruit to Mondavi and other Napa producers, laying the foundation for what would become Teaderman Vineyards.
1980s – Embracing Oakville’s Legacy
Recognizing the exceptional terroir of the mid-valley site, Stan began replanting parts of the vineyard to Cabernet Sauvignon—the varietal that would define Oakville’s global reputation. By 1984, he was making small batches of wine for family and friends, setting the stage for something more ambitious

2001 – The Official Launch
After years of careful cultivation and experimentation, Teaderman Vineyards debuted its first commercial vintage in 2001: a Cabernet Sauvignon that quickly earned praise for its depth, elegance, and classic Oakville character. With this release, a family dream officially became a Napa Valley reality.
Today – Honoring the Past, Crafting the Future
Today, Teaderman Vineyards continues to produce Cabernet Sauvignon in the bold, structured Oakville style, alongside our vibrant, tropical Sauvignon Blanc—a nod to our roots. Every bottle reflects our commitment to the land, to family legacy, and to the timeless craft of winemaking.
